At the Kerslake Robshaw Foundation, we believe every young person deserves opportunities to feel safe, supported and inspired. That’s why we’re proud to support FC United and their Sports Camp and Mentoring Programme in Lambeth.
The programme provides holiday sports camps, mentoring and a residential experience for young people aged 8 to 16, many of whom face challenges including financial hardship, social isolation and exposure to youth violence. Alongside football and multi-sport activities, participants take part in mentoring sessions covering confidence, wellbeing, teamwork, conflict resolution and goal setting.
By creating a safe, inclusive environment and surrounding young people with positive role models, FC United helps participants build resilience, develop life skills and form lasting friendships.
One parent described the difference the programme has made:
“Since joining the club, he has developed new friendships and has a new focus.”
It’s a simple reminder that sometimes changing a young person’s future starts with giving them somewhere positive to belong.
